Another thing that was happening was the dash display and convienence unit was not seeing the door being open thus the interiour light didn't come on. I realise this was an issue on early models, this is a later model and I'm looking to change the fuel flap actuator myself. Imagine needing gas in your Audi, but your fuel door won't open.

We made it down to the nearest gas station, where we discovered the gas door was stuck! It wasn't going to happen; it got stuck in towards the fuel cap and would not spring outward. When i push the button on the door and can hear the latch trying to open.
